Guilty Confession

It has been a very long time since I last posted here since I bought a new desktop computer. I must confess that I upgraded because I want to see what all the fuss is about with Lineage2. Though I always say I will give my laptop to my brother. Funnily enough, another reason I got a PC here was to be able to type in Korean but the OS they installed on my hard-drive does not have the Korean Language pack. So now I have a laptop with the correct language pack but no Hangeul on the keyboard (I did buy some stickers which I really should put on. It'll make my brother think I can really type Korean too) and a computer with Hangeul on the keyboard but no Korean language programme. The reason I can not download the programme from Microsoft should be obvious.

Lineage2 is a MMORPG designed by a Korean company and translated into English. Of course, it is hugely popular here especially this month as the newest chapter is to be released which introduces a new playable character. Unlike my former MMORPG experience with World of Warcraft, there is new content released for Lineage2 on a monthly basis in the form of 'Chapters' and not nerfs as is the case with WoW. It is also cheaper than WoW. However, the major appealing factor for me is the self-policing that the game allows. Basically, you can be killed by other players anywhere in the game world outside of the towns. If you are killed by another player without fighting back that player gets negative 'karma'. The killer can reduce negative 'karma' by either killing monsters or more likely being killed by other players (supreme justice I guess)since the killer's name changes to red and is broadcast to the server.

And of course there is the crafting race in the game. Though they are dorfs.
