D-War and late night news.

I went along to see D-WAR last night in Gangnam. The storyline, as has been already criticised by all and sundry, is rather weak. Then again, one does not go to see Die Hard 4.0 (yes, four-point-oh) and expect a story line that will shatter the action genre.
Apparently it only cost $30 million to make so it is almost inevitable that it will make good on Shim's investment and perseverence. It was a pity that there were no subtitles for the Korean section of the film (retelling the history of the legend) though in reality the fault lies with me as I am still very much at the beginner level when it comes to reading and listening.
In my opinion, and especially if you are a DragonBall fan, the final scene of the film is worthy of the admission fee alone.

While waiting for the bus at 0030 we were talking about the film and the director's early struggles when we heard this loud crash. A man, aged about 40 or so, had decided that the best way to stop the bus was to put his foot through the back door. Luckily for him all buses here have safety glass installed. Either way, he boarded the bus, which for safety reasons was not allowed to continue it's route, and watched all the other passengers file out. I imagine he was in a rush and desperate to catch this particular bus without realising that the 462 runs out of Gangnam every 10 minutes.
