Weekend Wrap-up, 07.08.12

Well, another weekend has come and gone. And I can gladly say it was fantastic. Here is how the day started.

You'll notice the sky is red. There's an old saying that if the sky is red at night there will be fine weather the next day (it's in the Bible). But if the sky is red at dawn then it will rain that day. And sure enough it did. If you would like a scientific explanation for the saying follow this link here.

Other randomness from the past week was this advertisement for Xylitol gum.

Basically it's saying the Xylitol, a tooth-friendly sugar, is from Finland and the gum is made in Greece (yay!!!). And that the two meet right here in Korea!

Seeing this sign made me realise that I'll never be out of work as long as I stay here.

And, I'd hate to be living in a place like this. I pass this building every time I catch the bus to Gangnam. It never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Finally, here is what I saw when I went to Yongsan looking for a laptop. Yongsan is the major electronics market in Seoul.

These are racing girls, though they have other names too. I've heard they are absolutely everywhere here, but this was the first time I saw them. They were modelling in front of a Daewoo car. And out of all the people taking photos of them, and there were a lot of people, this model is looking directly at me.

Until next time, fight the darkness.
